Rep. Andy Ogles, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on July 30 and 31, 2025, addressing topics ranging from military leadership to international trade policy.
On July 30, Ogles commented on an unspecified issue by stating simply: “Unacceptable.”
Later that day, he addressed the role of Jen Easterly, former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), writing: “This is a HUGE win for our military. Jen Easterly weaponized CISA against the American people during her tenure as director. The last thing we needed was to allow her to corrupt the next generation of military leaders at West Point. We’re exposing her corruption of CISA—and” This post was made on July 30, 2025.
On July 31, Ogles referenced actions by former President Donald Trump regarding U.S.-Mexico trade relations: “President Trump just got Mexico to drop their non-tariff trade barriers. We’re winning, and it’s not even lunchtime. The last man in the Oval was still asleep at this hour.”
Andy Ogles has served in Congress since replacing Jim Cooper in 2023 and represents constituents from Tennessee’s 5th district. Born in Nashville in 1971 and currently residing in Columbia, Ogles holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
