Rep. Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, published a series of posts on his official X account between July 28 and July 29, 2025. The tweets addressed topics including immigration enforcement, amnesty policy, and allegations concerning Belmont University’s hiring practices.
On July 28, Ogles commented on deportations and reactions from political opponents. He wrote, “Democrats are mad these people are getting deported.”
Later that day, he posted a brief message criticizing an unspecified individual or group regarding amnesty policies: “Traitor. NO AMNESTY!!!”
The following day, Ogles turned his attention to Belmont University in Nashville. He stated, “Belmont says there’s nothing going on—yet a leaked email to my office reveals they’ve launched an external compliance review. Even worse, evidence shows they may be actively violating federal law with their DEI hiring practices. I love Belmont. But until DEI is dead on that”
