Rep. Andy Ogles, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, has been vocal on social media about various issues. His recent tweets cover topics from law enforcement to government efficiency and immigration.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Ogles expressed his views on law enforcement with a straightforward statement: “Punch a cop, get a charge. Simple.”
Later that day, he questioned Congress’s efficiency by comparing it to the private sector. He wrote: “If the richest man in the world—running three companies and employing hundreds of thousands—can step in, audit the government, slash the waste, and deliver for Americans, then what excuse does Congress have? What is more pressing than locking in DOGE cuts and actually fixing” This tweet suggests his concern over governmental fiscal responsibility.
In another tweet posted on June 4th, Ogles criticized President Joe Biden’s handling of immigration issues. He stated: “Joe Biden let millions of illegal aliens attempt to destroy our country. It’s our job to let President Trump and Tom Homan remove them.” This reflects his stance on immigration policy under the current administration.
Andy Ogles was born in Nashville in 1971 and resides in Columbia. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and also attended Western Kentucky University.
