On May 16, 2025, Rep. Ogles called for an investigation into Mayor Freddie O’Connell, stating that “Mayor O’Connell Must Be Investigated Immediately”. He accused the mayor of launching a “Belonging Fund” aimed at assisting illegal aliens amidst efforts by ICE to deport them.
Later the same day, Ogles posted another tweet referring to a past event involving nuclear codes, labeling it as the “Coverup of the century”. He reminded his audience about the implications of such sensitive information being associated with an individual he criticized.
On May 19, 2025, Rep. Ogles commented on what he described as deception by intelligence agencies during previous administrations. He asserted that “The old intel regime lied to you about Biden” and claimed they spied on former President Trump while hiding documents that could reveal systemic corruption.
Andy Ogles was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 and resides in Columbia. He has been serving since replacing Jim Cooper in 2023 and holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
