Rep. Andy Ogles, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district, has recently taken to social media to express his concerns about Nashville’s approach to immigration enforcement. His series of tweets calls for investigations into local officials and criticizes their policies.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Ogles tweeted about Nashville Mayor O’Connell, accusing him of “actively colluding to shield illegal aliens from law enforcement.” He stated his refusal to allow Nashville to become like Portland or San Francisco and emphasized that Tennessean volunteers have historically repelled invaders rather than harbored them. “It’s time to investigate”, he concluded.

Later that day, at 22:06 UTC, Rep. Ogles expressed support for Rep. Mark Green and Secretary Noem while calling for an investigation into the Nashville Mayor’s office for allegedly obstructing federal law enforcement efforts. “I stand with @Sec_Noem and @ICEgov”, he declared.

In a subsequent tweet at 22:57 UTC on the same day, Rep. Ogles reiterated his stance by listing groups he believes should be deported: rapists, drug pushers, and killers. He called for an investigation into Nashville officials whom he accuses of protecting these individuals. “Investigate the Nashville officials protecting them”, he urged.

Andy Ogles was born in Nashville in 1971 and currently resides in Columbia, Tennessee. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
