Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, made several statements on social media on August 7, 2025, addressing issues related to immigration and local government officials.

In a post at 19:16 UTC, Ogles called for changes to the national census and stricter immigration enforcement. He wrote, ” Time for a NEW CENSUS! Illegals should be Deported NOT counted in the census!!! Thank you @realDonaldTrump @WhiteHouse @RapidResponse47″.

Later that evening at 20:39 UTC, Ogles criticized Nashville City Council member Sandra Sepulveda for her comments about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. He stated, “Nashville City Council member Sandra Sepulveda is smearing ICE agents and race-baiting in broad daylight. She’s accusing our ICE Patriots of “beating” people—simply because they’re ‘brown.’ That’s a disgusting lie. For the record: Sepulveda has a documented history of stalking”.

At 23:50 UTC on the same day, Ogles posted another message simply stating, “I do! “.

Andy Ogles was born in Nashville in 1971 and currently resides in Columbia. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University. He succeeded Jim Cooper as representative of Tennessee’s 5th district in Congress starting in 2023.
