Rep. Andy Ogles, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district, made a series of statements on his official Twitter account on October 17 and 18, 2025.
In a post dated October 17, 2025, Ogles wrote: “These are clear receipts showing George Soros is bankrolling Antifa—an outright terrorist organization.
It’s time the indictments start flying. America can’t wait any longer. Criminal conspiracy.”
Later that day, he posted: “I VOUGHTED for this! Let the Blue slush funds and projects BURN! “ (October 17, 2025).
On October 18, Ogles expressed frustration in another tweet: “This pisses me off “.
George Soros has frequently been cited in political discourse as a supporter of progressive causes and organizations through his philanthropic foundation. Claims about Soros funding Antifa have circulated widely but remain unsubstantiated by credible evidence.
Antifa is a loosely organized movement opposing fascism and far-right ideologies; it is not officially designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government or law enforcement agencies.
Ogles’ comments reflect ongoing debates within American politics regarding protest movements, alleged external influence on activism, and public funding priorities.
