Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account criticizing Democratic policies and expressing concerns about immigration and higher education practices.

On July 16, 2025, Ogles wrote, “I’m done with the Democrats’ nonsense. When will they talk about children being trafficked by illegal alien gangs? I want these kids saved! P.S.: There’s no such thing as ‘migrants’—they’re illegal aliens, and they’re breaking the law.”

Later that day, he posted a brief message: “MAHA!” on July 16, 2025.

On July 17, 2025, Ogles criticized Belmont University in another tweet: “Belmont University claims to be a Christian school rooted in Biblical principles, but its teachers deal in deception. President Trump has rightly demanded that all colleges and universities dismantle their DEI cartel or risk losing federal funding. So why are Belmont officials”

Andy Ogles was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 and currently resides in Columbia. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University. Ogles succeeded Jim Cooper as the representative for Tennessee’s 5th district.
