U.S. Congressman Andy Ogles, representing Tennessee’s 5th district, made several posts on his official Twitter account between February 14 and February 16, 2026, addressing political issues and national observances.

On February 14, Ogles commented on the Department of Homeland Security, stating: “Democrats shut down the Department of Homeland Security today. Today is supposed to be about love. Yet they want to demonstrate their hate of American security.”

Later that day, he posted a message referencing immigration enforcement: “Roses are red, violets are blue; if you’re here illegally, ICE is going to get you. “ (February 15).

On February 16, Ogles marked a federal holiday with a brief greeting: “Happy President’s Day! https://t.co/27daxyv9lq”

Ogles has been an outspoken critic of Democratic immigration policies and has previously used social media to comment on border security issues. The Department of Homeland Security has faced multiple funding challenges in recent years due to disagreements in Congress over immigration policy and border security spending.
