U.S. Congressman Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee’s 5th district, has used his social media platform to comment on issues ranging from alleged government overreach to international policy decisions. Ogles posted a series of tweets on July 15 and 16, 2025, addressing both domestic and foreign concerns.
On July 15, Ogles shared a post highlighting the experiences of families he described as “targeted” by federal authorities. He wrote: “Targeted Parent: My husband was forced out of his 24-year career after the Democrat-run FBI came after our family. It’s time for justice. These parents had their lives destroyed, and those who weaponized the government against them must be held accountable.”
Later that day, Ogles addressed Ireland’s proposed legislation regarding products made by Jewish manufacturers. In his tweet dated July 15, he stated: “Ireland’s proposed ban of Jewish-made products is nothing short of antisemitic. This proposal not only harms American businesses but undermines the very principles of Western Civilization. I vehemently oppose this decision and urge Ireland to reconsider.”
The following morning, on July 16, Ogles continued discussing claims of federal targeting against parents involved in school board activism. He posted: “Targeted Mother: Joe Biden sent FBI agents to my house, and the media smeared me—all because I led concerned parents who spoke out against masks at a school board meeting.”
Andy Ogles has served in Congress since replacing Jim Cooper in 2023 and currently resides in Columbia, Tennessee. Born in Nashville in 1971, he is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
These statements come amid ongoing debates about the role of law enforcement agencies in political matters and increasing scrutiny over international trade policies involving U.S. allies.
