U.S. Representative Andy Ogles has recently posted a series of statements on his social media accounts addressing issues related to crime, law enforcement, and government spending.

On September 4, 2025, Ogles commented on the performance of Nashville’s mayor in relation to crime rates in the city. He wrote, ” WATCH: Marxist Mayor asleep on the job. Nashville ranks among the top 10 U.S. cities for crime; this cannot continue!”

The following day, September 5, Ogles highlighted concerns regarding attacks on federal immigration officers and legislative efforts to address doxxing of law enforcement personnel. He stated, “Attacks on ICE officers are up over 800% this year. Any unmasking of these patriots by blue-city mayors and Marxist agitators must be met with swift and severe punishment. That’s why @MarshaBlackburn and I have introduced the ‘Protecting Law Enforcement from Doxxing Act.’” The proposed legislation aims to impose stricter penalties for revealing personal information about law enforcement officials.

Later that same day, Ogles addressed potential causes for a possible government shutdown, asserting partisan differences over criminal justice policy as a central issue. He wrote, “Mark my words—if there’s a government shutdown, it will be because Democrats chose to prioritize criminals over Americans. Republicans can cut spending, codify Trump’s agenda, and keep the government open.”

Andy Ogles represents Tennessee’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. His recent statements come amid ongoing national debates over public safety policies and federal funding priorities.
