Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, made several posts on August 7, 2025, addressing issues ranging from financial discrimination to federal research funding and public safety in Washington, D.C.

In a post at 14:48 UTC, Ogles wrote: “Woke financiers debanked conservatives. President Trump is setting it right. GOLDEN AGE.”

Later that day at 15:37 UTC, he claimed his office had discovered questionable funding practices within the National Institutes of Health: ” My team just uncovered that a rogue NIH division—the Fogarty Center—has been quietly funding perverse research on the ‘stigma’ of being a transgender African woman overseas. You are paying for this filth. In February, I joined @RepBrandonGill, @RepMTG, @RepEricBurlison,”

At 18:46 UTC, Ogles called for legislative action in Congress regarding crime in Washington D.C.: “I’m sick of Republicans just tweeting. Bring the BOWSER Act to the floor this week and vote. People in D.C. are dying because violent ghetto thugs are unleashed by the city’s pro-criminal government.”

Ogles was born in Nashville in 1971 and resides in Columbia, Tennessee. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University. Since succeeding Jim Cooper in Congress, Ogles has used social media platforms to comment on political developments and advocate for policy changes.
