Rep. Andy Ogles, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, has recently voiced his opinions on legislative developments through a series of tweets. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, and currently residing in Columbia, Ogles graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.

On July 1, 2025, Rep. Ogles shared a tweet expressing affirmation with an external link “This! https://t.co/rt8ZEyT8GA”.

Later that day, at 18:10 UTC, he criticized a recent Senate decision concerning tax subsidies “The Senate just dramatically increased the amount Tennesseans are forced to subsidize state and local taxes for wealthy people in blue states. How is that a win?”.

At 18:32 UTC on the same day, Ogles expressed concerns about the inclusion of elements from the Green New Deal in a new Senate bill “The Green New Deal is still alive in the new Senate bill Yes, you’re paying for more windmills. My amendment will scrap the Senate’s joke of a bill and replace it with something that actually delivers Trump’s agenda.”

Andy Ogles replaced Jim Cooper as representative for Tennessee’s 5th District after Cooper’s term ended in 2023.
