Rep. Andy Ogles, currently serving Tennessee’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently taken to social media to express strong opinions on certain political issues. His posts on April 16, 2025, cover topics ranging from political dynamics in Washington to issues of public safety regarding gang affiliations.

On April 16th, Rep. Andy Ogles made a bold statement via Tweet, declaring, “The DC Swamp is Bizarre… it’s time for someone to take a stand! .”

Later that afternoon, he criticized the Democratic Party’s stance on gang-related issues through another post, labeling their actions as “DISGRACEFUL” and questioning their priorities: “Democrats are bending over backwards to coddle an MS-13 thug—a CRIMINAL organization—while Americans live in fear! Why do they put gang members’ interests above the safety of our citizens?”

In another comment made later that day, Ogles equated maximum-security prisons with public safety, articulating that “If it weren’t for the maximum-security prison keeping gang members off the streets of El Salvador, Von Hollen and his band of snowflakes wouldn’t have been able to stage their grandstanding moment in the middle of the street.”

Andy Ogles, aged 51, was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and now resides in Columbia. Since taking office in 2023, he has replaced former U.S. Congress member Jim Cooper and has a legislative focus that reflects his outspoken views on national and local issues of safety and political conduct.
