Rep. Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 4, 2025, addressing topics ranging from national security to local education issues.
In a tweet published at 15:03 UTC, Ogles marked the anniversary of a military branch, stating, “Happy Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard. These patriots are critical defenders of our Homeland!”
Later that day at 15:41 UTC, he criticized Democratic leadership in New York with the statement: “Democrats are leading New Yorkers into peril by pushing for political ‘war.’ That’s how desperately Democrats crave big government tyranny and migrants replacing us.”
In another post at 19:57 UTC, Ogles commented on an incident involving a school employee in his home state: “A Maury County Schools psychologist just made ‘8647’ their profile picture. Our tax dollars fund this. Remember—countless conservatives have been fired from school districts for professing Christ or refusing the jab. @MauryCoSchools, investigate this immediately.”
Andy Ogles has served as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 5th District since 2023 after succeeding Jim Cooper. Born in Nashville in 1971 and currently residing in Columbia, Ogles is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
