In his first tweet at 17:43 UTC, Ogles shared an image and stated, “This is a photo of Mamdani’s home country, Uganda. This is what New York will look like after he’s destroyed it. DEPORT HIM NOW!”
Later that day at 19:10 UTC, he continued his criticism by posting, “Uganda was looted by corrupt socialist governments that crushed the economy and rigged the system. Mamdani wants to bring those same policies to New York. DEPORT HIM NOW!”
At 20:27 UTC on the same day, Ogles expressed support for ongoing political efforts with the statement, “All in! Bring on the IMPEACHATHON.”
Zohran Mamdani is a member of the New York State Assembly representing District 36 and has been known for his advocacy of progressive policies. Uganda has experienced periods of economic hardship and allegations of corruption under various administrations since its independence.
