Rep. Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to comment on local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities and to highlight meetings with education professionals.
On July 22, 2025, Ogles questioned the actions of local officials regarding immigration enforcement, posting: “Are local politicians who order police and EMTs not to cooperate with ICE in deporting illegal aliens with felonies committing treason?”
The following day, he shared details about a meeting with school psychologists from Tennessee: “Great to meet with school psychologists from Tennessee today. They do incredible work for our children, and it was a pleasure showing them around the office.” This post reflected his engagement with education professionals in his district.
Later on July 23, Ogles addressed the issue of human trafficking in relation to border policy, stating: “Everyone should be disgusted by the fact that Democrats only pretend to care about human trafficking when it fires up their base. Millions of children have been forced into sex slavery because of their open-border policies—and they said nothing.”
Andy Ogles has served as a member of Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th District since 2023 after succeeding Jim Cooper. Born in Nashville in 1971 and currently residing in Columbia, Ogles holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
