Rep. Andy Ogles, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. The congressman has recently shared his views and legislative plans on Twitter.

On June 18, 2025, Rep. Ogles expressed his enthusiasm about a recent Supreme Court decision by stating “Praise God! The Volunteer State is leading the charge against child exploitation—and this landmark SCOTUS win proves it.” He further mentioned his intentions to draft legislation aimed at taking Tennessee’s law banning sex changes on minors and expanding it nationwide.

In another tweet posted later the same day, Ogles conveyed trust in former President Donald Trump’s intentions for peace. He tweeted, “I trust the plan. President Trump wants PEACE, and that is what we will get.”

Later in the day, Ogles issued an urgent advisory for American citizens in Israel. He urged them to enroll in the U.S. Embassy’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) for updates on evacuation flights and emergency departure options. His message read: “URGENT: American citizens seeking to leave Israel are strongly advised to enroll in the U.S. Embassy’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive real-time updates on evacuation flights and emergency departure options.”

Andy Ogles was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 and resides in Columbia. He succeeded Jim Cooper as representative of Tennessee’s 5th District in 2023 after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS and Western Kentucky University.
