Rep. Andy Ogles, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, shared his views on Medicaid and other political issues through a series of tweets on May 7, 2025.
In one tweet, he stated, “6 in 10 Medicaid recipients are able-bodied adults who can work. Republicans must redirect those resources to the truly needy—low-income children, seniors, and people with disabilities—who actually depend on them.” This tweet reflects Ogles’ stance on reallocating Medicaid resources to better serve vulnerable populations.
Another post by Ogles promoted an event titled “Restoring The Republic 37: The Deport Them All Stream,” featuring Michael Patrick Leahy. This tweet was posted shortly after the first at 19:37 UTC.
Later that day, at 23:38 UTC, Ogles expressed his opposition to Democrats’ policies concerning human trafficking and gang-related issues. He tweeted, “Democrats can side with human traffickers and gang thugs all they want. I’m standing with the people of Tennessee—every single day.”
Andy Ogles was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 and currently resides in Columbia. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
