Andy Ogles, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district, shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. His posts covered a range of subjects from political commentary to community engagement in Middle Tennessee.

On May 20, 2025, Ogles expressed concern over media silence regarding an alleged threat by James Comey. He wrote: “Trump gets shot, less than a year later, Comey threatens to do it again. Why is the media silent?”

Later that day, he highlighted the significance of art in society and shared his experience meeting students in Middle Tennessee. He stated: “Great art makes societies great. It was an honor to meet so many talented students across Middle Tennessee—their creativity and excellence were truly breathtaking.”

In another tweet posted on the same day, Ogles aligned himself with former President Trump’s stance on government spending. He commented: “I agree with President Trump—we must crush the waste, fraud, and abuse. Liberal states like California and New York are abusing Medicaid—and making you pay for it. Illegal aliens and freeloaders have no right to taxpayer-funded benefits.”

Andy Ogles has been serving in Congress since replacing Jim Cooper in 2023. Born in Nashville in 1971, he resides in Columbia and holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
