Congressman Ogles has introduced a bill aimed at codifying the closure of the Department of Education, a move that aligns with former President Trump’s educational policies. Ogles criticized the department for what he described as its role in promoting “woke, anti-American curriculum” and contributing to declines in student literacy and educational standards.

“For far too long, the Department of Education has been poisoning the minds of students by injecting woke, anti-American curriculum into our schools,” said Congressman Ogles. He further accused the department of undermining traditional education based on Western texts and Biblical heritage.

Ogles expressed support for Trump’s efforts to reform education by emphasizing character-led excellence. “I am proud to join President Trump in his historic effort to save the American classroom and return character-led excellence to our schools,” he stated.

The proposed legislation reflects ongoing debates about federal involvement in education and its impact on local communities. The outcome of this legislative initiative remains uncertain as it progresses through Congress.
