Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congress member representing Tennessee’s 5th District since 2023, has recently made several public statements on social media. Born in Nashville in 1971 and residing in Columbia, Ogles replaced Jim Cooper in Congress and is known for his active presence online.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Ogles posted a tweet regarding an unnamed individual with the phrase: “Not sure if his batteries are running low or if he’s just low-T, but someone needs to hand Discount Dollar Store Obama some caffeine ASAP.” This tweet was published at 13:02 UTC.

Later that day at 16:17 UTC, he tweeted again about the same person using similar terminology: “Why is Dollar Store Obama so obsessed with attacking ICE agents for doing their job and deporting illegal aliens?”

In another post made on July 3, 2025 at 16:45 UTC, Rep. Ogles expressed support for former President Donald Trump by suggesting that “I’m asking @SecretaryBurgum to put Trump on Mt. Rushmore.” He highlighted what he considers Trump’s significant accomplishments through “the impending enactment of the Big Beautiful Bill,” which he claims will usher America into a “Golden Age.”

Andy Ogles holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
