Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, has recently taken to social media to express his concerns over actions by Nashville city officials and their interactions with federal immigration enforcement. Ogles, who succeeded Jim Cooper in Congress, shared a series of tweets addressing these issues.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Ogles tweeted that his office was informed about “far-left Nashville City Council Member Antoinette Lee” posting a flyer on her Facebook page. According to Ogles, the flyer provides guidance for illegal aliens on how to interact with ICE during an arrest and encourages reporting ICE agents and law enforcement. The full tweet can be accessed here.
Later that day, Ogles posted another tweet mentioning Freddie O’Connell’s Nashville and tagging the FBI in the post. The brief message stated: “Spotted in Freddie O’Connell’s Nashville.”
On June 5, 2025, Rep. Ogles called for action against Freddie O’Connell by tweeting: “I want Freddie O’Connell dragged before Congress.” He further emphasized that every official assisting him should be held accountable for what he describes as aiding an “illegal alien invasion wrecking our communities.”
Andy Ogles was born in Nashville in 1971 and currently resides in Columbia. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
