Rep. Andy Ogles, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th district, shared his legislative priorities and political perspectives through several tweets published in late April 2025.

On April 29, Ogles informed his constituents of his efforts to support border security measures. In his tweet, he stated, “This week, I am fighting to fund the border wall in the House Homeland Security Committee. My goal is to fund everything President Trump needs to make America’s border stronger than ever.”

Continuing with his political agenda, a day later, on April 30, Ogles posted a tweet expressing his vision for a prosperous America. He wrote, “America’s Golden Age means: –– Taking a wrecking ball to the radical Left’s grip on our institutions –– Deporting the alien invaders colonizing American soil –– Gutting wasteful spending. Trump’s doing it all!”

In another post the same day, Ogles directed followers to an editorial published in The Tennessee Star. The tweet read, “@TheTNStar Read the Op-Ed here,” inviting his audience to view more detailed articulations of his political strategies.

Andy Ogles has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023, following his predecessor Jim Cooper. Born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971, Ogles grew up and currently resides in Columbia. He is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University.
