Rep. Andy Ogles, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, has shared his perspectives on recent developments via social media. Born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Western Kentucky University, Ogles replaced former Congress member Jim Cooper.

On May 15, 2025, Rep. Ogles commented on a partnership between an NGO and Mayor O’Connell to establish a ‘belonging fund’ for undocumented immigrants. He expressed concerns about the organization’s previous criticism of ICE agents and noted that “they’ve received over $3 million in government grants since 2020”.

Later that day, Rep. Ogles addressed legislative matters concerning healthcare policy. He stated that the current reconciliation package includes provisions that “codifies Obamacare expansions that funnel money to illegal aliens.” He declared his opposition to wasteful spending within such policies.

In another post on May 15, Rep. Ogles referenced his support for certain law enforcement actions by sharing a link titled “Restoring The Republic 38: I Support The Raids— Investigate O’Connell.”
