26.7% of households in Waynesboro received food stamps in 2020

Waynesboro ranked 69th in Tennessee for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 227 Waynesboro households (26.7 percent) who received food stamps. Waynesboro's population was 2,428 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Robbins, which had 27 of 43 households receiving food stamps, 36.1 percent more than Waynesboro. In 2020 the population of Robbins was 93.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Brentwood, which had 51 of 14,027 households receiving food stamps, 26.3 percent less than Waynesboro. In 2020 the population of Brentwood was 42,700.
