The University of Tennessee Southern Jennifer Corbitt Hired as Softball Assistant Coach

The University of Tennessee Southern and softball Head Coach Tyler Robb announced the hiring of Jennifer Corbitt as the team's new assistant coach. Corbitt will fill a vacancy left after Robb's transition from assistant coach to head coach in August.

" I am extremely honored and very blessed to have been given this opportunity," Corbitt said. "I was fortunate enough to have been a part of this program as an athlete and now even more fortunate to be able to step into the role of assistant coach. I am very excited to keep moving in the right direction with these girls, and I can't wait to see the successes that soon come from all of their hard work."

"I am excited for Coach Corbitt to step into this new role as an assistant coach, "commented Coach Robb. "Jenn's competitive drive, passion for the game, and emphasis on helping others grow on and off the field will be a tremendous asset to our program here at UT Southern."

The Cleveland, Tenn., native has spent the last season as a graduate assistant for the Firehawks. Corbitt began her collegiate career playing for two years at Motlow State Community College. She then transferred to Martin Methodist to conclude her playing career.

Corbitt graduated from Bradley Central High School in 2017. She obtained his Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from Martin Methodist College in 2021.
