University of Tennessee Southern Watari Named MSC Offensive Player of the Week

Campbellsville's Rirei Sasaki and Tennessee Southern's Yuki Watari have been named MSC Women's Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

MSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Rirei Sasaki – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Goalkeeper – Fr. – Chiba, Japan

·         Totaled 10 saves in the Tigers' 2-2 draw with (19) Lindsey Wilson.

·         Allowed just a pair of goals, facing 10 shots for a save percentage of .833.

·         This is her first career MSC Women's Soccer Player of the Week award.

MSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Yuki Watari – Tennessee Southern – Mid-Fielder – Sr. – Saitama, Japan

  • Watari fired three of goals on the week in a 0-0 draw with Cumberland (Tenn.) and a 9-0 rout of Asbury (Ky.).
  • The senior managed three goals and three assists against Asbury, firing seven total shots on goal.
  • This is her second career MSC Women's Soccer Player of the Week award.
