The University of Tennessee Southern men's bowling squad began MSC championship play on Friday fresh off the heels of Hayden Stippich claiming the MSC singles title on Thursday. The format was a double elimination bracket featuring the best of seven matches.

UTS started the event as the #2 seed based on the conference's regular season standings.

Both UTS and Pikeville earn a berth into the NAIA Championship to be held March 23-25 in Sterling Heights, Mich.

The Firehawks will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. To compete in the Hoosier Classic beginning on Friday, February 17.
