Congressman Andy Ogles has introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the U.S. Constitution, aiming to allow a President to be elected for up to three terms. The proposed amendment specifies that "no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times," while maintaining restrictions on consecutive terms and those who have served over two years of another's term.

Ogles stated, "President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years." He emphasized Trump's capability in reversing national issues and restoring America's status, suggesting that extending his potential presidency would ensure sustained leadership.

The Congressman criticized the Biden administration's policies, claiming they have led to numerous national challenges. According to Ogles, "It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary" to correct these issues. He highlighted Trump's recent actions such as declaring a national emergency at the Southern border and efforts towards energy independence.

Ogles further argued that under Trump’s previous administration, there was prosperity and protection compared to what he describes as relentless abuses under Biden. He cited problems like illegal immigration and rising costs as consequences of current policies.

The resolution aims at altering presidential term limits set by the 22nd Amendment. It remains subject to legislative processes before any potential ratification.
