Rep. Andy Ogles, who represents Tennessee's 5th district in the United States Congress, has been vocal on social media regarding current political events and policies. Ogles assumed his congressional role after replacing former member Jim Cooper in 2023. The congressman, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and resides in Columbia, has expressed his criticisms and perspectives on several issues through his recent tweets.

On April 5, 2025, Ogles expressed his disapproval of the Senate's budget resolution through Twitter, stating that the proposed $4 billion in cuts was insufficient. He criticized the resolution, saying, "Republicans should not pass the Senate's SWAMP budget resolution. $4 billion in cuts is not a job well done. That’s less than 0.1% of federal spending. The American people want and expect results, not more fiscal trickery."

In another tweet on April 7, 2025, Ogles referenced former President Trump’s remarks, advocating for the protection of the American worker and the free market. He wrote, "President Trump said it best: We must be strong, courageous, and patient. Protecting the American worker and preserving a free market takes time—but it will be worth it."

Later that day, Ogles reiterated his opposition to the Senate budget resolution, asserting that it undermines America-first principles. He tweeted, "Make no mistake, the Senate budget resolution is everything but America-first. This bill will undo everything DOGE has accomplished."
