Rep. Andy Ogles, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 5th district since 2023, recently shared a series of posts addressing concerns about Chinese espionage and other related activities in the United States.
On April 14, 2025, Ogles stated, "Chinese nationals and CCP operatives have been caught: • Running secret police stations • Spying on dissenters • Spying on Political campaigns • Smuggling foreign military tech • Illegally operating drones over Space Force bases".
On the same date, Ogles reflected on espionage activities, highlighting that since 2000, "there have been 224+ confirmed Chinese espionage incidents in the U.S. Just last year, a Chinese resident of NYC pleaded guilty to operating an undeclared CCP police station to enforce CHINESE laws in lower Manhattan."
In another post, he discussed the origins and impact of COVID-19: "COVID Chemical Warfare: Let’s not forget: COVID was cooked up in a Chinese lab—and when it got out, the CCP covered it up, silenced doctors, and delayed global warnings. The cost? Millions of lives and trillions in economic damage."
Ogles, born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1971, resides in Columbia. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS and also attended Western Kentucky University.
