Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Ronni Ashleigh Kelley, 20 of Johnson City, in the early hours of Jan. 4, and charged her with Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Schedule II Drug Violations, Simple Possession/Casual Exchange, Fabricating/Tampering with Evidence and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility.

Kelley had an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Washington County. WCSO took her into custody and handcuffed her in front due to the fact she stated she was pregnant.

While being transported, the WCSO deputy observed her placing something in her mouth and removing items from inside her pants. Kelley admitted to swallowing four Xanax bars while in custody. A subsequent search by a female officer revealed a glass pipe, a baggie containing a crystal-like substance and a smaller baggie that contained three Xanax pills.

Upon arrival at the Washington County Detention Center, Kelley was searched and a second bag containing a crystal-like substance was discovered, which led to the Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility charge.

Kelley is being held on an $11,000 bond and will appear in Sessions Court on the afternoon of Jan. 5.
