82.7% of Wayne County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 16,350 citizens living in Wayne County in 2021, 82.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,522 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,557 were male, constituting 55.9%, and 5,965 were female, making up 44.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Wayne County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
