Congressman Andy Ogles has issued a statement regarding the recent plane crash at Washington D.C.'s airport, marking it as the deadliest incident since September 11, 2001. He expressed condolences for the victims and gratitude towards first responders engaged in search and recovery operations.

Ogles emphasized the importance of identifying the cause of the crash to prevent future occurrences. "Whether the cause was human error, equipment failure, inadequate training and communication, DEI-driven policies, or a combination of these factors," he stated, aligning with President Trump's call for thorough investigations.

Highlighting past concerns, Ogles referenced President Trump's comments on air traffic control lapses: "As President Trump highlighted earlier today, there were 503 'significant' air traffic control lapses in 2023 alone—a consequence of the Biden and Obama administrations’ dereliction of duty in ensuring the most qualified individuals hold these positions."

The congressman stressed restoring high standards across various sectors to ensure public safety. "No more negligence. No more political agendas. Just the best and brightest protecting the safety and well-being of the American people,” he concluded.
